This heavily peated whisky knows no compromise.
It is the result of long maturation in ex-American whiskey casks and finishing in handpicked French red wine casks. These come from the famous Pauillac region, located on the left bank of the Gironde, north of Bordeaux.
The result is an extremely lively and powerful single malt with a wonderfully smoky BBQ undertone. The finish is a fruity mix of red and black berries, which, in combination with the very masculine smoke, leave an extremely elegant, long-lasting impression.
