The Westland Distillery, based in Seattle, produces American single malts that honour tradition while offering something new and valuable. The climate in the Pacific Northwest is ideally suited to the production of single malt whiskey. Washington is home to two of the best barley-growing regions in the world and the special water comes from the Cascade Mountains.

TASTING NOTES:
Nose: Vanilla custard, marionberry compote, maple brittle, toasted marshmallow.
Palate: almond nougat, crème brûlée, black tea, white petals, malted milk balls.
MINIMUM AGE: 40 months.
ABV: 46%.
VINES: Cooper's Reserve New American Oak, Cooper's Reserve Used American Oak, First Fill Ex-Bourbon, First Fill Ex-Oloroso Hogsheads and Butts, Second Fill Ex-Oloroso Hogsheads and Butts.
BARNING VARIETIES:
Washington Select Pale Malt, Munich Malt, Extra Special Malt, Pale Chocolate Malt, Brown Malt, Bairds Heavily Peated Malt.

Westland Outpost Range
50% vol.
In addition, Westland has developed a limited edition series called "Outpost Range". The Outpost Range consists of 3 single malts: Colere, Garryana and Solum. Each of these whiskies will be released in limited numbers each year and will differ in flavour profile from the other editions. This series can be found exclusively in selected specialist shops.
