The Black Art 11.1 is already the seventh edition of Head Distiller Adam Hannett and once again a wonderful example of perfection and craftsmanship. All the selected casks date back to the time before the reopening of the Bruichladdich distillery. Thus, the whiskies for Black Art 11.1 were allowed to mature for almost a quarter of a century on the wild Hebridean island of Islay. Adam has our complete trust and has the freedom to choose the number of casks as well as the cask types alone that are blended together for a Black Art. This creates the mystical character of an almost indescribable single malt every time. The contents of the old casks are unique and inimitable - mysteriously combined in the 24-year-old Black Art 11.1. Unpeated and matured for almost a quarter of a century in the distillery's best casks, the Black Art 11.1 - like its six predecessors - is a wonderful symbiosis of courage, creativity and trust in our head distiller, our whiskies and our beloved homeland Islay.
