Our first trial with organic barley from Mid Coul Farm in the north of Scotland began in 2003. To date, no Islay farmer has been certified organic, which is why we are maintaining this co-operation. With their highly progressive approach to maximum biodiversity, soil regeneration and a highly efficient approach to energy production, recycling and fertilisation concept, the Rose family of farmers is an ideal partner for our Organic Single Malt. In order for our single malt to be certified organic, the entire production process from field to bottle must comply with strict organic regulations. Each Organic Vintage is as unique as the year in which the barley from which it is made was harvested. The Organic Barley 2012 has the intensity of flavour of pure barley. The organic quality of the grain gives the single malt that certain something with a creamy texture, sweetness and flavours reminiscent of citrus honey. Age: 10 years
